Maryoceane GuyDirector of Enrollment and OutreachMary began her journey into education at a young age and knew early on working with children was where she was meant to be. After the birth of her daughter and teaching art and theater in a mainstream setting at an elementary school for several years, she discovered her passion for alternative education when she found Bayou Village School. Her desire to cultivate a creative curiosity for learning in her daughter and her own respect for a child's authenticity and calling to make a positive impact in the world aligned with Bayou Village School's mission. First finding her home at BVS as a devoted parent, she soon had the opportunity to use her skills, experience, and passion to further help Bayou Village School grow and became the Enrollment Director in 2016. In her free time, Mary enjoys camping, writing, animal rescue, volunteering, and spending time with her daughter.
