Copy of BVS Fundraising directive by Leticia Barrios
Bayou Village School set out on a mission 11 years ago to provide Waldorf education to children and families in Houston, TX. After 11 years, we have grown from a small house in the Heights to a blossoming program filled nearly to the brim in a 13 classroom facility. We have had hundreds of families come through our doors and it is because of families like this, like you, that we continue to fulfill our mission and purpose year after year no matter the challenges we face.

As a 501c3 Non-Profit, part of our mission is to also provide Waldorf-inspired education opportunities to families from all walks of life, through community service programs, financial aid scholarships, and more. In the last two years alone, we have granted nearly $215,000 in financial aid scholarships to families needing assistance. In addition to serving families, we also provide a financial supplementation of $1,000-$5,000 a year to staff members interested in growing professionally through Waldorf training programs. Over the last 5 years, this supplementation totaling over $95,000 has provided 7 different teachers with the opportunity to begin their journey towards Waldorf certification, with 3 of those teachers completing their programs.

We graciously ask you for your support this 2022-2023 School Year. We believe small steps like this will have a great impact on our school's sustained future and help us continue to provide Waldorf education for families in Houston while keeping our commitment to giving back to our community.
