Chloe Rogers Head of School 9th school year at BVS Chloe Rogers has been in the education field for nearly two decades. She discovered her passion and purpose for education after beginning as an early childhood teacher. Before joining Bayou Village School she taught various ages of students ranging from infant to kindergarten. Chloe pursued getting her directors license and furthering her education of the components that it takes to effectively manage a school. In 2012, after completing her continued education she received her credentials to become a licensed school director. In 2015, she got the opportunity to interview and tour BVS, Chloe immediately knew that the school philosophy and structure rang true to her own beliefs on education. Later that year, she became the Administrative Director of Bayou Village School. Chloe has continued to further her understanding and knowledge of Waldorf education through various trainings and summer intensives. She understands that within the Waldorf philosophy there are continuous cycles of growth and development, which she is committed to always deepening her understanding of. Community is one of the dearest and most important aspects to her love for our school. In the effort to stay connected to the school community she serves on many committees; leadership council, building and grounds, and finances. Chloe is helping to develop a DEI Committee to ensure that we are models for inclusivity, equity, and kindness and respect for all. Chloe is also an ex-officio member of the board, she serves as the liaison between staff and board. Chloe keeps the board informed on overall school issues, concerns, and needs. Outside of her work for the school, Chloe enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is a proud mother of two, a boy and girl who are also students at the school. She advocates and finds ways to support efforts toward social injustice and abuse/exploitation of children and women.
Natalie Beasley Assistant Head of School 7th School Year at BVS After a decade of working in radio as a Traffic Manager and then moving on to becoming a Business Analyst for Clear Channel she took some time off from working to care for her daughter Olivia. Natalie joined BVS as a parent in August of 2016, she was a committed parent and began helping with many of the volunteer opportunities provided by the school. Through this work she developed relationships with administration and faculty. She truly loved the environment and was eager to help in whatever capacity the school may need. Bayou Village faculty and administration was eager to share the job opening for additional support for administration with Natalie. With her experience in communications and her ability to motivate our faculty we knew she was the perfect person to fill this role. Natalie gives essential support to the administration team and is a valued member of our school community. In her spare time, Natalie likes to spend time with her family, cooking, making pottery, dancing, and traveling.
Noemi "Mimi" Vasquez Admissions Coordinator 12th School Year at BVS Mimi joined Bayou Village School in August 2013. Initially, she wore many hats and juggled many roles, but found hope and relief when this little school she loved started growing and expanding. Mimi served as the Lead Teacher in the Sunflowers Preschool classroom for many, many years, serving as a “home-away-from-home” for countless Sunflower children, and for several of our own beloved staff children- Mimi’s honorary children. During several of those years, Mimi also served as our school’s Parent/Caregiver-Child Class Teacher- where she was able to share the wonders of our school with new families and in far-away places, when the class took place at the Arboretum. Mimi has formed lots of strong friendships and bonds during her time at BVS, and it’s not over yet! Now, as Mimi begins a new journey as Admissions Coordinator, she is still committed to sharing the beauty and charm of our school- a place she calls her second home. What an honor it was for her to have her class name celebrated and retired! When Mimi isn’t working on something special for BVS, she can be found doing her volunteer work, crafting, cooking or baking, spending time with her family- including her fur-baby Leo- or spending time outdoors, probably with her shoes off. She is an avid kindness practitioner and advocate, a lover of all people and living things, and a hug enthusiast. If you’re reading this, Mimi already can’t wait to meet you!
