School Yard Development Fund Drive 2017

Last spring, with the input from teachers, parents and landscape professionals, we developed a plan for our school yard. A poster of this plan can be found here. During the summer 2017 we completed phase 1 of this plan. It included fixing the grading and drainage of the yard, moving equipment closer to the building, building the sandbox and adjusting the fence of the area for the preschool and toddler children. During the 2017-18 school year we would like to implement phase 2 of this plan. This will involve planting around the perimeter of the fence along Bunton and Terry Streets to improve the privacy and security of the play yard, building an expanded edible school garden where all classrooms can plant and grow vegetables and adding a play structure. Our goal is to raise $2,500 for this project during December 2017.
